About the Role

Zodiac Maritime is a leading international ship operating company, providing a comprehensive range of management services for a diverse fleet of commercial vessels. We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Procurement Specialist to join our team in London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source high-quality spares and parts in a cost-effective manner for our fleet.
  • Monitor and ensure that ships' masters and chief engineers process requisitions and orders according to our supply procedure.
  • Provide purchasing guidance, high-risk ports, and approved local ship chandlers to vessels.
  • Coordinate logistics for connecting orders to vessels.
  • Use our procurement system to ensure all necessary filings and records are completed.
  • Liaise with technical managers to obtain necessary approvals and place orders.
  • Verify invoices and process variances with technical managers.
  • Keep abreast of new product information.
  • Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback and evaluation.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the maritime industry.
  • Marine procurement experience, with category management skills.
  • Strong market awareness and understanding of maritime supply chain components, regulations, and market conditions.
  • Demonstrated experience in concluding successful negotiations with global suppliers.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • Commercial aptitude and ability.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Well-developed numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
