Key Responsibilities- Source high-quality spares and parts in a cost-effective manner for our fleet.
- Monitor and ensure that ships' masters and chief engineers process requisitions and orders according to our supply procedure.
- Provide purchasing guidance, high-risk ports, and approved local ship chandlers to vessels.
- Coordinate logistics for connecting orders to vessels.
- Use our procurement system to ensure all necessary filings and records are completed.
- Liaise with technical managers to obtain necessary approvals and place orders.
- Verify invoices and process variances with technical managers.
- Keep abreast of new product information.
- Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback and evaluation.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in the maritime industry.
- Marine procurement experience, with category management skills.
- Strong market awareness and understanding of maritime supply chain components, regulations, and market conditions.
- Demonstrated experience in concluding successful negotiations with global suppliers.
- Clear and confident communication skills.
- Commercial aptitude and ability.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Well-developed numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
