The Marine Fuel Procurement Specialist will be responsible for purchasing Marine fuel from various suppliers for sale to World Fuel Services customers. This position will manage supplier relationships and develop new supply opportunities with existing and new suppliers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Negotiating daily requirements in designated supply areas
  • Developing new business opportunities from existing suppliers
  • Working with suppliers to secure contracts with beneficial terms
  • Prospecting for new business opportunities from new suppliers
  • Analyzing and disseminating market and demand information to identify new business opportunities
  • Frequently visiting existing and new suppliers
  • Maintaining a database of active customer targets and prospects
  • Providing reliable customer support and transaction services
  • Maintaining the Port Demand Profile for certain ports
  • Assisting in operational and logistical support as needed
  • Understanding and analyzing market conditions, identifying counterparty needs, and providing product and price information
  • Negotiating deals and preparing and processing orders
  • Handling administration and general queries
  • Understanding the role of credit and risk in transactions
  • Collaborating with the sales team to communicate business objectives and strategies

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work closely with suppliers and internal colleagues. They will be proactive in identifying supply opportunities and maximizing business growth.
