Job Title: Deputy Technical Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Technical Project Manager to join our team at Vestas. As a Deputy Technical Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of offshore projects, working closely with our construction project execution group, customers, and R&D engineering functions.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Technical Project Manager in ensuring the technical aspects of the project are delivered on time, to budget, and to the required safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate technical deliverables and provide support throughout all stages of the construction project.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the offshore market and customer requirements, as well as offshore operational knowledge.
  • Network to build relationships with key technical stakeholders in customers' organizations, promoting their requirements inside Vestas and ensuring successful project execution.
  • Act as a liaison between the Offshore Construction Project Execution and VTO (technology organization) on respective projects and topics.
Requirements:
  • Engineering background (Electrical, Mechanical, Marine, or related) combined with commercial insight/interest, or commercial background with solid interest in technical aspects.
  • Experience in directing technical negotiations, ideally of heavy machinery, power plant equipment, or similar.
  • Previous experience in wind energy or industrial plant environment is beneficial.
  • Strong project management skills are beneficial.
  • Fluency in business English, both spoken and written, is required; additional Scandinavian or European languages are an advantage.
  • Flexibility for travel is required.
