Job Title: Deputy Technical Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Technical Project Manager to join our team in Vestas. As a Deputy Technical Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of offshore projects, working closely with the Technical Project Manager and other stakeholders to deliver technical aspects of the project on time, to budget, and to the required safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Technical Project Manager in ensuring the technical aspects of the project are delivered on time, to budget, and to the required safety and quality standards.
  • Work closely with the Technical Project Manager and other stakeholders to coordinate technical deliverables and provide support throughout all stages of the construction project.
  • Assist in maintaining a close dialogue with the Pre-installation Project Manager, Technical Site Specialist, Installation Manager, and Commissioning Manager to provide support on any technical issues that arise.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the offshore market and customer requirements as well as offshore operational knowledge.
  • Adhere to and advocate Vestas' values: Simplicity, Passion, Accountability, and Collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Engineering background (Electrical, Mechanical, Marine, or related) combined with commercial insight/interest.
  • Experience in directing technical negotiations, ideally of heavy machinery, power plant equipment, or similar.
  • Previous experience in wind energy or industrial plant environment would be beneficial.
  • Strong project management skills would be beneficial.
  • Fluency in business English, both spoken and written, is required; additional Scandinavian or European languages would be an advantage.
  • Flexibility for travel.
