About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Traffic Office Administrator to join our team at Chorley VOC. As a key member of our fleet operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the Distribution Management System is up-to-date and data is accurately input daily, with all drivers debriefed at the end of their duty.
  • Maintain Isotrak, Business Asset Tracker, and Vision FTA systems, ensuring compliance with European Legislation.
  • Issue vehicle keys and logbooks in line with Royal Mail standards.
  • Download digital tacho cards in accordance with Royal Mail policy.
  • Conduct daily debriefs with drivers, addressing any unresolved issues with the shift manager.
  • Oversee planned maintenance for vehicles, updating the maintenance board and vehicle files accordingly.
Requirements
  • Organized, independent, and self-motivated individual.
  • Knowledge of safety and legal requirements, including drivers' hours legislation, vehicle checks, Safe Systems of Work, risk assessments, and accident investigation.
  • Industry experience and working knowledge of the mail and parcel operation preferred.
  • Computer literate with good numeracy and literacy skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Able to input data to set deadlines while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
