TPF Recruitment is a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency based in Kent, currently representing a successful Maidstone-based firm of chartered accountants. The firm is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Assistant/Semi Senior to join their team as a key addition, taking on increasing responsibility in a hands-on role that involves delivering a range of services to key clients. This is an excellent opportunity to complete your AAT qualification and then pursue either the ACA or ACCA, further advancing your career in the field of accountancy.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies for Director review.
  • They will also be tasked with general bookkeeping, preparing VAT returns, and delivering other services to meet the needs of the firm's clients.
  • As the role progresses, the Semi Senior will take on additional responsibilities, including preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts, as well as corporate and personal tax returns.

Key Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or studying ACA/ACCA, with a proven track record of working in an accountancy practice.
  • They should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience with a variety of accounting software.
  • At least three years of experience in an accountancy practice is essential for this role.

Benefits Package
  • The salary for this position is between £25,000 and £35,000 per annum, depending on the candidate's level of experience and qualifications.
  • The successful candidate will also be entitled to 20 days' annual leave, plus Bank holidays.
