Job Title: Junior Clinical Fellow

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated medical professional to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. As a Junior Clinical Fellow, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and support to Frail & Older patients attending the emergency department.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking patient assessments for Frail & Older patients attending the emergency department
  • Working as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team to provide effective care and support
  • Supporting elderly care wards and Acute Frailty unit as needed
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Experience of an NHS or equivalent training programme
  • Ability to take responsibility for the same day emergency care of patients
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Previous experience of working in the NHS or comparable health service in a medical capacity
Work Environment

We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal. Our community services for adults are provided in people's homes, community centres, clinics, GP Practices, community hospitals and our main hospitals.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £39,000 - £44,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include access to ongoing training and development opportunities, a comprehensive induction program, and excellent career prospects within the NHS.
