Maintenance Technician

Sealed Air Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Malvern. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with the potential to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform self-directed reactive and planned maintenance, observing machinery and equipment in operation and locating root cause problems.
- Independently perform maintenance in accordance with industry standards.
- Recondition and repair machine tools.
- Perform device testing to observe performance, and tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems.
- Identify and source parts and supplies and repair items as required.
- Drive and participate in Continuous Improvement Activities - process, results and cost savings.
- Update and review Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
- Troubleshoot and analyse control systems to resolve software/hardware and configuration problems.
- Utilise predictive maintenance technology to collect equipment performance data.
- Follow all safety-related policies, rules and regulations, technical instructions and guidelines and identify potential workplace hazards.
- Certified technical qualification in a relevant discipline. Completed a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship preferably with an Electrical bias.
- GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths.
- Computer literate with experience of Microsoft applications.
- Understand electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Organised, self-motivated and able to prioritise own workload.
