Painting and Decoration Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Painting and Decoration Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust.
This is a highly rewarding role that involves carrying out decoration and building finishes maintenance within acute and community NHS properties. As a skilled tradesperson, you will work under the Building Team Leader to embark on challenging projects while prioritizing patient and staff safety.
Working as part of a team and individually, you will be responsible for completing tasks efficiently and safely. Your ability to self-motivate, work relatively unsupervised, and communicate effectively with colleagues and patients will be essential to your success in this role.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in commercial or industrial settings and possess safe systems of work knowledge. While a healthcare background is advantageous, we can provide specific training if required.
You will be based at Furness General Hospital in Barrow-in-Furness and may be required to travel between trust sites as needed. We offer flexible working arrangements and opportunities for professional development.
Main Responsibilities
- To carry out decoration and building finishes maintenance within acute and community NHS properties
- Work collaboratively with the Building Team Leader and other tradespeople to complete tasks efficiently and safely
- Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail in all work undertaken
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and patients to ensure seamless project delivery
Requirements
- Full apprenticeship or equivalent approved training
- NVQ3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications
- Driving license (B)
- Working at height related qualification
