**About the job**

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Labourer at NW Total in Barrow. It is essential that you hold a driving licence, as you will be working across our sites and delivering our products locally. Areas of responsibility will vary therefore it is important that you are able to work independently and use your initiative.

Carr’s Engineering designs, manufactures, and services bespoke equipment, vessels, precision components and remote handling systems alongside providing specialist engineering services in the Nuclear, Defence, Oil & Gas, Motorsport, Pharmaceutical and Renewable industries. We have over 120 years of experience and provide industry leading services to our portfolio of long-standing customers. We operate in three locations Bendalls in Carlisle, NW Total in Barrow and Chirton Engineering in North Shields.

**Location**

Based at NW Total in Barrow

**Key responsibilities**
- Carry out all general work tasks as instructed by the Operations Director and Production Manager while in our workshops and as instructed by our Project Managers whilst working locally at our customer sites.
- Responsible for escorting sub-contractors onto our local customer site and within works areas.
- Transportation and storage of high value products
- Working as a Fitters and/or welder’s mate.
- Booking in goods.
- Offloading and loading deliveries, using a forklift truck (Training provided).
- General workshop housekeeping including painting and cleaning etc.
- Carry out local deliveries.
- Take personal responsibility for health and safety and report any instances of breaches or concerns.

**What you need for the role.**
- A full, clean, UK Driving Licence.
- To be enthusiastic and able to work unsupervised.
- Must be able to meet the requirements to achieve BPSS Clearance.
- Health and safety awareness

**How will you be rewarded?**

**Salary**: £8.11-£15.04 per hour
