About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Head of Planning and Strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our organization and contribute to the development of our strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the production of short and medium-term financial plans for the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and the wider system.
  • Assist in the production of plans for the ICB and the wider system, ensuring accurate reporting of in-year variances.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including finance and non-finance professionals within the organization and the wider system.
  • Manage a small team of staff in the management of the acute portfolio of budgets.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams across the system to drive efficiency and improvement.
Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant with demonstrable Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Evidence of monthly reporting in a complex organization or system.
  • Evidence of experience of and/or understanding of planning requirements in a complex organization/system.
  • Time Management and managing competing priorities.
  • Staff Management experience, both direct and indirect.
  • Highly developed Excel, Word, and PowerPoint experience.
  • Evidence of collaborative working across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple organizations.
  • Understanding of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and evidence of personal impact in those areas.
  • Understanding of the NHS financial environment and the role of the ICB within that.
