About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Head of Planning and Strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a forward-thinking Integrated Care Board, collaborating with key partners across a large Integrated Care System.

The successful candidate will require excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to develop robust plans, ensure accurate reporting of any in-year variances, and assist in the delivery of the efficiency agenda. They will work closely with finance and non-finance professionals within the organisation and the wider-system.

Key Responsibilities

The Head of Planning and Strategy will be responsible for coordinating the production of short and medium-term financial plans for the ICB and assisting in the production of plans for the wider system. They will also be responsible for the production of monthly reporting packs for the system Finance and Performance Committee, liaising with system partners to highlight variances from the system plan and planned mitigations for both revenue and capital.

The successful candidate will also work on multi-disciplinary working groups across the system, as part of the system transformation efficiency programme and collaborative working models. They will manage a small team of staff in the management of the acute portfolio of budgets.
