About the RoleThe Vehicle Manufacturer will be responsible for the manufacture of vehicles on the production line. This role involves drilling, cutting, riveting, bolting, and screwing parts using hand tools and basic cutting machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Manufacture of vehicles on the production line
- Reading and working from complex part and assembly drawings and schematics
- Moving between several distinct operations while maintaining high-quality workmanship and overall efficiency
- Fitting and assembly of metal, wood, and laminate components to vehicles during the assembly process in accordance with customer and build specifications
- Time-served experience in a relevant discipline (e.g., fitter, mechanic, plumber) or 4 years of chassis experience/relevant experience
- Relevant experience using a variety of hand, power, and air tools
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Good interpersonal skills
- Willingness to undertake or provide training as required
- Awareness of general health and safety rules
