Job Summary

The Recruitment Co. is seeking a skilled and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team in a multi-drop position. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe transportation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order before each shift.
  • Safely and accurately load and unload goods from the vehicle, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Plan efficient routes to ensure timely delivery of goods, minimizing delays and disruptions.
  • Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle, prioritizing the safety of yourself and others.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch to provide updates on delivery progress, ensuring seamless coordination.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, representing The Recruitment Co. in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid Class 1 driver's license, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Proven experience as a Class 1 Driver, preferably in a multi-drop role, with a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations, with the ability to plan routes effectively and navigate complex road networks.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to lift heavy items as required, with a high level of physical fitness and stamina.

Compensation

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, with a minimum of 10 hours of paid work per day. The hourly rate will be £15.89 for the first 10 hours, and £17.72 for any additional hours worked.
