Job Summary:

The Recruitment Co. is seeking a skilled and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team in a multi-drop position. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order before each shift.
  • Safely and accurately load and unload goods from the vehicle, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Plan efficient routes to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle.
  • Communicate with dispatch to provide updates on delivery progress.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid Class 1 driver's license with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Proven experience as a Class 1 Driver, preferably in a multi-drop role.
  • Sound knowledge of vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures.
  • Excellent understanding of local traffic laws and regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to plan routes effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision.
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy items as required.

Compensation:

Minimum of 10 hours a day paid, with a rate of £15.89 before 10 hours and £17.72 after 10 hours of work.
