The Recruitment Co. is seeking a skilled and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our team in a multi-drop position. As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle and ensure it is in good working order before each shift.
- Safely and accurately load and unload goods from the vehicle.
- Plan routes and ensure efficient delivery of goods.
- Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle.
- Communicate with dispatch to provide updates on delivery progress.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
Requirements
- Hold a valid Class 2 driver's license (2 years minimum).
- Proven experience as a Class 2 Driver, preferably in a multi-drop role.
- Sound knowledge of vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures.
- Excellent understanding of local traffic laws and regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to plan routes effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items as required.
Compensation
Minimum of 10 hours a day paid. Hourly rate: £15.89 before 10 hours, £17.72 after 10 hours.
