Job Title: Class 2 Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our team at The Recruitment Co. in Ellesmere Port.

Job Summary:

This is a multi-drop position that requires the delivery of goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe transportation. As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for conducting pre-trip inspections, safely loading and unloading goods, planning routes, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle and ensure it is in good working order before each shift.
  • Safely and accurately load and unload goods from the vehicle.
  • Plan routes and ensure efficient delivery of goods.
  • Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle.
  • Communicate with dispatch to provide updates on delivery progress.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Hold a valid Class 2 driver's license (2 years minimum).
  • Proven experience as a Class 2 Driver, preferably in a multi-drop role.
  • Sound knowledge of vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures.
  • Excellent understanding of local traffic laws and regulations.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to plan routes effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision.
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy items as required.
Benefits:
  • Minimum of 10 hours a day paid.
  • £15.89 before 10 hours - £17.72 pay after 10 hours work.
