We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team in Ellesmere Port. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle and ensure it is in good working order before each shift
  • Safely and accurately load and unload goods from the vehicle
  • Plan routes and ensure efficient delivery of goods
  • Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle
  • Communicate with dispatch to provide updates on delivery progress
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid Class 1 driver's license (2 years minimum)
  • Proven experience as a Class 1 Driver, preferably in a multi-drop role
  • Sound knowledge of vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures
  • Excellent understanding of local traffic laws and regulations
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to plan routes effectively
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy items as required

Benefits:

  • Minimum 10 hours a day paid
  • £15.89 per hour before 10 hours, £17.72 per hour after 10 hours
