Edinburgh, Edinburgh, United Kingdom FWB Full time

About FWB

FWB is a pioneering organisation dedicated to realising children's human rights in Scotland. Our vision is for children to grow up in a world filled with love, happiness, and understanding.

We aim to inspire greater awareness and understanding of children's rights and support the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) in Scotland.

Through creative, participatory, and play-based approaches, we provide opportunities for children to share their views, experiences, and ideas, empowering them to influence positive change in their homes, schools, and communities.

We continue to demonstrate children's rights in action, influence policy, and build the capacity of adults to ensure children's rights are upheld.

The Opportunity

Are you passionate about helping children fulfil their potential and build a better Scotland? We believe that every child deserves the chance to thrive and reach their full potential.

As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of children's human rights in Scotland. Working closely with partners, stakeholders, and policymakers, you will help us to make a meaningful impact and create lasting change.

Candidate Requirements

We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic leader with experience in inspirational leadership, financial management, and team development. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A passion for children's rights and the deeply held belief that children are valuable and equal citizens.
  • A deep understanding of the political and policy landscape in Scotland with the ability to quickly gain credibility in the human, and specifically children's, rights space.
  • Proven ability to lead a team through change and manage resources effectively.
  • Experience of working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including government bodies, local authorities, and third-sector organisations.

Our Commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
