About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Officer to join our team at the University of Oxford. As a key member of our cancer research initiative, you will be responsible for developing, delivering, and managing funded collaborative cancer research programs that focus on translating fundamental scientific discovery into improvements in patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage funded collaborative cancer research programs
  • Coordinate and prepare research funding applications
  • Manage technical or data-intensive cancer research projects
  • Communicate science to diverse audiences
  • Interact effectively with academic staff, researchers, and support staff
Requirements
  • PhD/DPhil in a cancer-relevant field
  • Extensive experience in coordinating and preparing research funding applications
  • Proven track record in managing technical or data-intensive cancer research projects
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
