The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Director, Project Biology to lead scientific efforts in small-molecule therapeutic projects within our internal pipeline or collaborations. Your expertise in assay development and drug discovery biology will be crucial in guiding projects towards clinical success. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, applying your knowledge to drive data-driven decision-making and ensure project milestones are met efficiently. Building strong relationships with partners and vendors will also be a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide scientific leadership in small-molecule drug discovery projects focused on oncology and immunology.
  • Design and implement screening strategies to evaluate target disease biology and pharmacological agents.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with partners, academic institutions, and Contract Research Organizations (CROs).

Requirements

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in oncology or immunology research, with 5 years in drug discovery biology.
  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant scientific field.
  • Expertise in developing biochemical and cell-based assays for drug screening.
  • Demonstrated leadership in project management and collaboration.
  • Strong communication skills in English.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience across all stages of drug discovery for small molecules.
  • Hands-on experience in in vitro and in vivo studies with external partners.
