Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Inclusive Education Trainer to join our team at Essex County Council. As an Inclusive Education Trainer, you will play a vital role in supporting young people and adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to become safe and independent travellers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Travel Training to clients on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.
  • Visit young people and adults in their homes to develop bespoke training plans and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new organisations to promote the Travel Training service.
  • Attend events and support the wider travel training team as required.
Requirements
  • Education to 'A' level / NVQ level 3 within a relevant sector, plus 5 GCSE's A-C (new GCSE 4-9) including English and Math's, or equivalent experience in the field.
  • Experience within an SEN or adult social care setting is essential, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality training and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Highly organised and able to manage workload efficiently, with good IT skills and ability to meet deadlines.
