Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Ward Clerk/Receptionist at Goole Hospital. This role is instrumental in providing a welcoming and professional service to patients and visitors, ensuring the efficient running of the ward areas across the Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for admitting and discharging patients in a timely manner, ensuring relevant post-admission information is sent to the relevant person(s). They will also be required to assist patients and visitors using various communication methods, validating and auditing patient information to ensure timely and efficient care.

Main Duties

As a key member of our team, the Ward Clerk/Receptionist will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support to ensure patients receive a professional and caring service within clinical timescales.
  • Admitting, transferring, and discharging patients, updating patient demographic details as necessary.
  • Liaising with clinical teams to ensure all relevant documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinating investigation appointment requests and patient Health Record folders.
