About the Position

The RSPCA Kent Ashford, Tenterden & District is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Care and Companion Assistant to support our team in providing top-notch care and welfare to animals in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily animal care tasks, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring the health and well-being of animals.
  • Develop and implement enrichment programs to promote mental and physical stimulation for animals in our care.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, responding to inquiries and concerns related to animal care and welfare.
  • Participate in fundraising initiatives and events to support the mission and goals of the organization.

Requirements

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in animal care or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Available to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £16,500 - £18,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include flexible working hours, on-site parking, and opportunities for professional development.
