A forward-thinking European 3PL contract logistics provider is looking for an accomplished Operations Director to spearhead its UK operations, encompassing warehousing and in-house transportation.

With a substantial presence in the UK, this organisation serves a diverse range of customers across retail, e-commerce, fashion, footwear, automotive, FMCG, and reverse logistics.

This pivotal role demands exceptional leadership skills, extensive experience in managing multi-site operations, and a proven track record of driving growth and innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire UK operation, ensuring seamless execution of strategies, efficient use of resources, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Direct the UK distribution network, new site development, and implementation of automation and robotics.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to maintain and expand a thriving customer base.
  • Budget Responsibility: Manage an operational budget in excess of £60m, guaranteeing financial success while preserving service excellence.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, MBA or advanced degree – Advantageous
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience at a Head of or Director level within a 3PL business – Essential.
  • Proven expertise in managing multi-site operations with budgets exceeding £40m – Essential.
  • Prior exposure to semi-automation and robotics technologies – AMR's, AGV's - Highly Advantageous.
  • Prior experience in the UK logistics sector and passion for driving growth.

Compensation Package:

  • Estimated Salary: £120,000 to £140,000 per annum
