Senior Clinical Lead Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Senior Clinical Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for leadership and clinical expertise in Elderly Medicine to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

The successful candidate will provide senior clinical and professional leadership to the therapy team, working jointly alongside the Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist. You will be responsible for setting and upholding agreed standards and processes, ensuring that patients receive high-quality evidence-based care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy services within the Directorate clinical specialty, assessing and treating patients with complex needs.
  • Act as a role model for clinical, operational, and professional leadership, promoting excellence in patient care and staff development.
  • Participate in service planning, development, and evaluation, holding responsibility for defined projects and activities.
  • Regularly educate and supervise Therapy staff and students, leading on teaching and training healthcare colleagues on aspects of clinical care.

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity to cover maternity leave, offering a unique chance to gain valuable experience and develop your leadership skills. Requirements:
  • BSc Honours (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
  • Health and Care Professions Council Registration
  • Clinical Educator Training
  • Evidence of involvement in research and clinical audit
  • Experience of assessment, goal setting, planning, implementation, and review of clinical therapy interventions
  • Clinical experience of working across a broad range of specialities, including acute medicine, healthcare of the elderly/frailty, respiratory, and orthopaedics
