Northampton, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom St Andrew's Healthcare Full time
Job Description

In our pursuit of inspiring hope for those living with complex mental health needs, we are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Occupational Therapist to join our Specialist Recovery Division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across two 14-bedded wards in our low secure service, supporting patients with a range of mental health issues.

As an experienced Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplinary team, taking responsibility for a clinical caseload and offering OT-specific assessment and treatment to groups and individuals within your care. You will also have the chance to develop new therapy ideas and work closely with the Specialist OTs within the team.

We are looking for someone with experience and knowledge of working within secure settings and mental health services. You should have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices, including risk assessment skills and the application of theoretical frameworks such as the Model of Human Occupation.

You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to develop good professional relationships with members of the MDT and patient group. Your ability to liaise with outside agencies will be essential in this role.
