About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childrens Residential Support Worker to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a key member of our Childrens Residential Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people aged 10-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build Trust and Nurture Relationships: Develop strong, trusting relationships with service users, promoting their independence, well-being, strengths, and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Parents/Carers and Professionals: Work in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals to ensure seamless support and care for our service users.
  • Contribute to a Safe and Supportive Environment: Maintain a safe and welcoming environment, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
  • Document and Record Information: Accurately document information and ensure records are up-to-date, reflecting the needs and progress of our service users.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare: Hold or be willing to achieve this qualification within the required timeframe.
  • Compassion and Motivation: Be driven by a desire to make a positive difference in young people's lives, creating a safe space and building resilience.
  • Safeguarding and Protection: Demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding and protection of vulnerable children & young people.
  • Flexibility and Commitment: Commit to sleep-ins and shift work, including weekends and bank holidays, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of our service users.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: £27,616 - £32,396 (sleeps included)
  • Full-time, Permanent Contract: 37 hours per week, with a 3-week rolling rota.
  • Benefits Package: 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing after 5 years of service, plus a range of family-friendly leave options and benefits.
