About the Role

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team in Obstetric Ultrasound. As a key member of our Diagnostic and Pharmacy Group, you will play a vital role in leading the development and delivery of high-quality ultrasound services across our sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the clinical and managerial development of our Obstetric Ultrasound service, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and patient care.
  • Collaborate with our Ultrasound Service Manager and Directorate Managers to drive service improvement and innovation.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement projects and programmes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Work closely with our management team to ensure key performance targets are met and exceeded.
  • Provide operational leadership to the ultrasound department, driving excellence in service delivery and performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize resource use and improve efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of collaborative working and empower staff to achieve performance and transformational change.
  • Demonstrate excellent people management skills, inspiring and motivating direct reports and wider colleagues.

Person Specification

  • Postgraduate Masters/Diploma/Certificate in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent qualification.
  • BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or Midwifery or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid HCPC registration or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • MSc in Imaging/Ultrasound or equivalent.
  • Society of Radiographers (SOR) or equivalent registration.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
