Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner to join our theatre team at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality surgical care and contributing to the delivery of excellent patient outcomes.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment that prioritizes patient-centered care. As a key member of our theatre team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional surgical services, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with theatre coordinators to ensure timely preparation of patients for surgery.
  • Provide expert scrub/anaesthetic and circulating duties in the Trauma and Orthopaedic operating theatre.
  • Collaborate with the hospital Trauma Coordinator to organize theatre lists, post-operative bed availability, and pre-operative patient preparations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve theatre efficiency and patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of implant stock levels required for major orthopaedic surgeries.

Requirements:

  • NMC or HCPC registration as a 1st Level Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner.
  • Diploma or Degree in Adult Nursing or Operating Department Practice.
  • Proven experience as an Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner with up-to-date professional knowledge.

Salary: £45,720 - £56,947 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, Lindley, HD3 3EA.
