Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: London, UK | Pay: £94 - £105 per day | Contract: Temporary to Permanent | Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team in London. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young learners and contributing to their growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Individual and Group Support: Provide targeted help to students, whether one-to-one or in small groups, focusing on those needing extra assistance and support.
  • Behaviour Management: Promote positive behaviour and address challenges in the classroom, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all students.
  • Resource Preparation: Help prepare and organise learning materials to create an engaging and effective classroom environment.
  • Supervision: Ensure student safety during lessons, breaks, and activities, providing a secure and supportive atmosphere.
  • SEN Support: Assist students with special educational needs (SEN), adjusting methods to meet their individual needs and requirements.
  • Communication: Liaise with parents, teachers, and staff to provide the best support for students, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent: A minimum high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required, with Teaching Assistant qualifications being a plus.
  • Experience Working with Children: Experience working with children is preferred but not required, as we are committed to providing training and support for the right candidate.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are essential for this role.
  • Patience, Empathy, and Passion: Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children succeed are vital qualities for this position.
  • Commitment to Safeguarding: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare is essential for this role.
