Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Director of Research Operations at the University of Oxford's Department of Education. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the effective delivery of projects and bids, as well as managing centre events and communications activities.

About the Role:

  • Drive effective and timely delivery of projects and bids.
  • Manage centre events and communications activities.
  • Ensure effective administration across project management, HR, finance, research governance, data management, IT, and communications.
  • Collaborate with the core Department administrative team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project management: Lead on the development and implementation of project plans, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  2. Communication: Manage the communication strategy for the centre, including internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Administration: Oversee the administration of the centre, ensuring efficient and effective processes.
  4. Team collaboration: Work closely with the Department's administrative team to ensure seamless integration of activities.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
  • Experience in project management in a research environment.
  • Excellent IT skills and communication skills.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and creative thinking.
  • Line management experience and track record of managing complex projects.
