About You

To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong background in generator servicing, be self-motivated, and able to work under pressure. We require candidates with:

  • Experience with engine strip-down and rebuild (desirable)
  • In-depth knowledge of diesel generators, including FG Wilson, SDMO, Pramac, Perkins, and MTU models
  • Familiarity with PLC-based control systems such as Deep Sea, ComAp, and Dief
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, including coolant, lubrication, fuel, starting, battery charging, and warning systems
  • Experience with generator peripheral equipment, including louvre control, fire systems, and alarm systems
  • Ability to perform on-site risk assessments and adhere to health and safety standards
  • A strong electrical, mechanical, and fitting skills
  • Excellent IT skills for reporting and documenting work
  • ECS, CSCS, and IPAF certification
  • Able to work independently and problem-solve on-site

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes enhanced pension contributions and a range of other benefits, including company van, laptop, and mobile phone. The role also offers 33 days of holiday, including statutory holidays, and a comprehensive benefits package.
