Technical Proposals Engineer

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Proposals Engineer to join our team at Innovo Global Talent. As a key member of our Technical Solutions Department, you will be responsible for developing concept designs that meet customer requirements and writing proposals to support our technical solutions.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Develop concept designs for small commercial projects, including layout and equipment selection, to estimate costs and support sales proposals.

* Collaborate with the project team to develop costs for project variations and assist with larger commercial projects as part of a team.

* Maintain the enquiry and forecast report for weekly sales meetings and enter new enquiries into the Enquiry folder.

* Follow up on sales leads, attend customer meetings, and correspond with customers to clarify project scope, deadlines, and costs.

* Develop concept layout designs for larger commercial projects, including 2D and/or 3D designs, to estimate costs and support sales proposals.

* Source equipment from OEM suppliers and develop alternative solutions after consultation with the Technical Solutions Manager or senior management.

* Coordinate design reviews with management and write the initial FDS to support concept designs.

* Validate the technical aspects of projects, including project schedule, high elevation drive calculations, cycle times, and overall performance of equipment.

* Complete estimate costs for small commercial projects and individual bespoke equipment using the estimate template.

* Ensure all information supplied to external suppliers is consistent and coordinate internal review meetings with management for sales margin approval.

* Write proposals or letters of offer using the current template, demonstrating solution, external supplier content, and customer requirements.

**Requirements**

* Fluent in English, both written and oral.

* Minimum 2 years' experience in Material Handling (Logistics & Warehousing, Automotive) engineering.

* Strong technical background in mechanical and/or electrical/controls engineering.

* Strong CAD/Inventor/Solidworks or similar software experience.

* Practical knowledge of equipment design, logistics warehousing, conveyors, automation, and/or electrical/controls.
