We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist to join our team. As a Sourcing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in identifying, evaluating, and engaging with potential suppliers to ensure the procurement of high-quality products and services for our organization. The role is offered with a salary of £45 - £55K, and would best suit someone with a background sourcing engineering parts from a global supplier base

Duties:

· Collaborate with various departments to determine sourcing needs and requirements

· Research and identify potential suppliers through various channels (both UK and international)

· Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms

· Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies

· Maintain accurate records of supplier information, contracts, and performance metrics

· Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in sourcing

Required Skills

· Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and vendor management

· Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers

· Experience working with international suppliers

· Experience of purchasing fibre optics, cables, fittings etc

· Experience of small batch and volume purchasing

· Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other procurement software
