In Pembrokeshire, Sanctuary Personnel Ltd seeks a skilled Approved Mental Health Practitioner to work full-time in their Adult Social Care Services team. This permanent position comes with a salary of up to £43,421 per annum.

The successful candidate will hold a professional Social Work qualification or equivalent and have maintained Approved Mental Health Act practitioner status. Their key responsibilities will include:

  • To independently assess and take action in relation to assessment and care planning, considering the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Social Services & Wellbeing.
  • To manage compulsory admission to hospital or arrangements for supervised community treatment, making decisions that balance competing requirements.
  • To assess the feasibility of care options and contribute effectively to planning and implementing them.
  • To coordinate legal and practical processes, including the involvement of other professionals and service users.

This role requires:

  • A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
  • Maintenance of Approved Mental Health Act practitioner status through ongoing training.
  • Ability to draw on research and local/national policy to ensure evidence-based practice.
