Fed Finance is a dedicated recruitment firm specialising in Accounting & Corporate Finance roles. My client, a Luxury Hospitality firm, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager for a permanent position.

As a key member of the finance team, you will oversee the accounts receivable operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of income auditing processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective team management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and mentoring the accounts receivable and income audit team, providing guidance and support for high performance.
  • Conducting regular catch-ups and providing feedback and training to team members.
  • Overseeing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
  • Monitoring the aging report and ensuring debts are collected in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with various departments to ensure timely collection of payments and assessing any risks attached.
  • Working closely with the collection agency if necessary.
  • Collaborating with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely closing of the month end.
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Handling escalated guest inquiries and disputes regarding invoices and payments in a professional and timely manner.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements within the finance department and other departments.
  • Leading initiatives and working with the Digital Transformation Analyst to automate manual processes and leverage technology to improve financial operations.
  • Enforcing credit policies and procedures and conducting credit checks on new and existing customers to assess creditworthiness.
  • Preparing for and coordinating internal and external audits related to accounts receivable and revenue recognition.
  • Addressing audit recommendations and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Leading or participating in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.
  • Preparing ad-hoc reports and analysis as requested by senior management.
  • Overseeing the travel agency commission process and ensuring payments and inquiries are addressed promptly.

Requirements include:

  • AAT qualification (or degree in Accounting & Finance).
  • Experience in Luxury Hospitality (mandatory).
  • Enjoy managing a team and developing those around you.
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager to drive the success of the business.
