About the Role:

The Rape and Sexual Violence Service is the largest specialist service provider in the Black Country, supporting victims and survivors of sexual abuse.

We are looking for a qualified/unqualified Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) to join our supportive Rape and Sexual Violence Service.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with adults, providing trauma-focused support.

You will be working with adults who are victims of sexual violence and sexual abuse, providing a high-quality frontline service to victims, ensuring that support is trauma-informed and tailored to the individual needs of the adult.

You will be working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), Police, Court, Social Care and local partnership responses to sexual violence and sexual abuse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide trauma-informed support to adults who have experienced sexual violence and abuse.
  • Work within a multi-agency framework to ensure effective support and services for victims.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local partners and agencies to ensure seamless support for victims.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of services to meet the needs of victims.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in a relevant field (e.g. social work, counseling, etc.).
  • Experience of working with adults who have experienced sexual violence and abuse.
  • Ability to work within a multi-agency framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
