Care Home Operations Coordinator Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Unit Coordinator to join our team at Mill View Care Home in Bolton. This is a key role that requires exceptional organisational and communication skills to support residents, staff and families across the care home site.

Job Description
  • To coordinate the daily operational running of assigned houses across the care home site, ensuring that care is delivered in line with care plans and the changing needs of residents.
  • To lead shifts when required, ensuring that the home is adequately staffed and care is delivered as planned.
  • To contribute to overall compliance and follow policy and procedures.
  • To support in upskilling nurses and their practices while monitoring and measuring clinical and non-clinical KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To support staff in delivering care in line with Advinia's care principles and values, promoting personal choice and independence while ensuring residents receive the highest standards of personal care and attention.
  • To support the shift leader in completing their role and coordinate support between units as needed.
  • To assist with medication management and administration in line with company policy across the units.
  • To efficiently roster staff and ensure resident needs and statutory requirements are met, minimising agency use.
  • To effectively communicate relevant information about unit operations to senior management and between units to ensure smooth delivery.
  • To foster good relationships between staff, residents, and their families.
  • To contribute to mandatory audits and maintain regulatory and organisational requirements.
  • To step in and run shifts when required.
  • To ensure nursing care is carried out and delivered in line with best practice and NMC guidance.
  • To clinically supervise nursing staff to ensure they work in line with best practice and NMC guidance.

About You:

  • A valid PIN registration with the NMC.
  • A suitable leadership qualification (desirable).
  • Previous experience in a management or leadership position within a Residential Care Setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications and recording systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practice in a care setting.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to caring for residents.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

Estimated Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
