We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Golf Course Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Sherfield Oaks Golf Club, one of the UK's fastest growing golf and hospitality operators.

About the Role

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our venue meets the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain good playing surfaces and ensure the course offers a consistent challenge and enjoyable experience for golfers.
  • Maintain four key areas on the golf course: tees, fairways, greens, and rough.
  • Maintain trees, shrubs, and flower beds.
Duties & Key Responsibilities
  1. Mowing turf using tractors, ride-on machines, and specialist hand mowers.
  2. Treating turf to ensure consistent playing surfaces.
  3. Using environmentally friendly treatments to control weeds, diseases, and pests.
  4. Renovating and maintaining bunkers and hazards.
  5. Removing dew and debris from greens.
  6. Repairing wear and tear caused by golfers and animals.
  7. Responding to enquiries and dealing with golfers.
  8. Attending to drainage problems.
  9. Applying irrigation.
  10. Cutting new holes on greens.
  11. Planting and pruning trees and shrubs.
  12. Operating and maintaining machinery and tools.
Requirements
  • Qualified to Level 2 or working towards NVQ level 2.
  • Passionate, enthusiastic, and highly motivated.
  • Excellent communicator and team player.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to follow precise instruction.
Estimated Salary Range:

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
