Academic Research Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced administrative professional to support our research and innovation activities at the University of Kent.
The successful candidate will work as a member of the Research and Innovation Support (RIS) funding and awards team, facilitating the successful delivery of projects and University research goals and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to research and innovation activities, including monitoring applications and outcomes.
- Promote funding opportunities to academic staff and provide support with application processes and deadlines.
- Assist academic staff in developing projects, including grants, consultancy, and tenders, to ensure they are well-written, fully costed, and meet funder and university requirements.
- Maintain an up-to-date record of research and innovation grants held by staff to enable progress evaluation against plans and metrics.
- Hybrid working options allowing a flexible blend of office and home working.
- 43 days' leave per year, including personal leave, bank holidays, and additional days for the Christmas period.
