About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Head of Finance to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality financial management and leadership to our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to the finance team, ensuring effective financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of financial professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their success.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement business strategies, ensuring alignment with financial goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clinical teams, operational leaders, and external partners.
Requirements
  • CCAB or equivalent qualification, with significant experience in senior financial roles within the NHS or a similar healthcare organization.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality financial management, leadership, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
