About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Head of Finance to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality financial management and leadership to our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to the finance team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial management and reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to achieve business objectives, working closely with senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage a team of financial professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure the team's success.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, and to identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, clinicians, and external partners.
Requirements
  • CCAB or equivalent qualification and significant experience in senior financial management roles.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality financial management and leadership, with a strong focus on business outcomes and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
