About the Role

The HS Clinical Cardiac Physiologist specialising in Echocardiography will be responsible for delivering high-quality cardiac physiology services within our Clinical Investigation Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Cardiac Physiologist to join our team and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Plan and implement overall standard operational policies and procedures for Cardiac Physiology* Assist in extending the services provided with Cardiac Physiology* Support specialised consultants body with service delivery and resources within a multidisciplinary department* Perform a range of highly specialised cardiac ultrasound investigations, including adult transthoracic, contrast (for left ventricular opacification) and bubble study echocardiograms, 3D echocardiograms, dobutamine stress echocardiograms, assisting with transoesophageal echocardiograms, performing accurate and reproducible measurements and quantification, interpret findings and independently issue final clinically diagnostic reports, to a competent, highly specialised professional standard.* Lead quality assurance in attaining clinical governance standards for Cardiac Physiology, Manage Cardiac Physiology audit programmes, providing monthly data as requested by the Head of Cardiac Services and internal and external governance bodies.

**Requirements**

* BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology or BSc in Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) or PTP equivalence* Transthoracic (TTE) Level 2 accreditation by the British Society of Echocardiography or Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography Certification by the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI)* Knowledge and experience of advanced and highly specialised procedures acquired through accredited courses.* Able to perform a range of specialist diagnostic investigations on patients in a variety of clinical settings.
