Clinical Physiologist - Respiratory Specialist

Job Summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust seeks a motivated individual to fill the position of Clinical Physiologist (Band 5) in the Respiratory Physiology service. The successful applicant will be primarily based in lung function on the St Mary's Hospital site and the Sleep Centre at Charing Cross Hospital.

Main Responsibilities

* Perform standard lung function tests, including spirometry, gas transfer, and lung volume measurements on a diverse patient population.
* Analyze respiratory sleep studies and CPAP monitoring clinics in the Sleep Centre.
* Maintain and calibrate all equipment, including therapeutic/diagnostic equipment issued for use in patients' homes.
* Provide diagnostic lung function tests independently, with opportunities to further develop skills and experience.

Requirements

* BSc in Healthcare Science or equivalent.
* Basic understanding of respiratory physiology.
* Relevant practical experience.
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
* Judgment skills to use complex facts and situations in patient care.
