Perinatal Mental Health Specialist Nurse

Rainbow Mother and Baby Unit is a specialist service offering assessment, support, and treatment to women suffering from acute mental health illness during their third trimester of pregnancy up to baby being 12 months old.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate RMN to enhance or gain knowledge in a complex and highly rewarding area, supporting the care and recovery of the ladies admitted to the service, their infant, and wider family.
Main Responsibilities
- Support and lead in the specialist care of women suffering acute mental illness during the perinatal stage.
- Contribute to service development and treatment for Mothers and their babies based on evidence-based practice.
- The ideal candidate would have experience in acute inpatient care or perinatal work and working with families.

Key Requirements
- Valid UK NMC registration.
Desirable Qualifications
- Training in psychological therapy, parent/infant therapy.
- Experience of working within acute inpatient Mother and baby unit.
- Knowledge of The Children's Act.
