We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our team at King's College Hospital, one of the UK's largest and busiest teaching Trusts.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering dietetic care for patients under our tier 4 obesity service, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Bariatric Surgeons, Obesity Physicians, and Specialist Nurses.

About the Role

As a Band 7 Dietitian, you will be accountable for all aspects of your work, adhering to professional codes of practice and guidelines. You will also contribute to the local development and delivery of structured education programs, assess patient understanding, and gain informed consent.

You will manage clinical risk within your caseload, work within trust guidelines, and maintain accurate patient records. You will also represent the dietetic service at multi-disciplinary meetings, providing nutrition counseling and advice to patients and carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver dietetic care for patients under tier 4 obesity service
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Contribute to education programs and patient communication
  • Manage clinical risk and patient records
  • Represent the dietetic service at meetings
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BSc/Postgraduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics
  • HCPC registration
  • Knowledge of dietetics within the NHS
  • Experience of clinical audit and multidisciplinary team working
  • Formal teaching/lecturing experience
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £54,320 - £60,981 per annum, with additional benefits, including a pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.

Location and Working Hours

This role is based at King's College Hospital, Denmark Hill site, with full-time hours of 37.5 hours per week.
