Job Title: Workshop Powered Access Engineer

Bennett and Game Recruitment are currently representing a Plant and Tool company that is seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer in Bedford. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background and experience with powered access equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing, repairing, and maintaining electrically powered access equipment, including cherry pickers and scissor lifts.
  • Performing LOLER inspections on powered access equipment and other plant.
  • Keeping accurate service records up to date.
  • Ensuring adherence to workshop health and safety rules and regulations.
  • The fleet of powered access equipment is electric.
  • The role requires a 40-hour workweek, with flexibility in scheduling.
  • Free lunches are provided, creating a positive work environment.
  • The client's workshop will relocate to a central location in Bedford in the future.

Requirements:

  • Desirable experience in a similar role.
  • CAP qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong electrical background in the powered access or plant industry.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Good administrative and organizational skills.
