Workshop Powered Access Engineer Position Overview

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a skilled Workshop Powered Access Engineer to join their team in Bedford. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background and experience with powered access equipment.


  1. Responsibilities include servicing, repairing, and maintaining electrically powered access equipment, including cherry pickers and scissor lifts.
  2. Perform LOLER inspections on powered access equipment and other plant.
  3. Keep service records up to date.
  4. Adhere to workshop health & safety rules and regulations.
  5. The fleet of powered access equipment is all electric.
  6. The role requires a 40-hour workweek, with flexibility in hours.
  7. Free lunches are provided, creating a good working environment.
  8. The client's workshop will be relocating to a more central location in Bedford in the future.
Workshop Powered Access Engineer Position Requirements
  1. Desirable experience in a similar role.
  2. CAP qualification is desirable but not essential.
  3. Strong electrical background in powered access or plant industry.
  4. Ability to work well as a team and alone.
  5. Good administrative and organisational skills.
  6. Commutable distance of Bedford.
Workshop Powered Access Engineer Position Remuneration
  1. Salary range: £32,000-£50,000 dependent on experience.
  2. 40-hour working week (Flexible in the hours you work).
  3. 25 days holiday plus bank holiday.
  4. Pension.
  5. Free lunch.
